There are lots of software-packages and tools are avail for project management in market. Some of the popularly used software applications are listed below.

In this project management software both the open-source and proprietary applications are avail and it comes for both desktops as well as web-based.

In Desktop application it can be implemented as a program that runs on the desktop of each user. This typically gives the most responsive and graphically-intense style of interface. Desktop applications typically store their data in a file, or to store their data in a central database.

It can also be implemented as a Web application and accessed through an intranet using a web browser. Using this method it can be accessed from any type of computer without installing software and naturally multi-user.

But it is slower response when comparing to desktop application and project information is not avail when the server is not avail.
