GDP is called the Gross Domestic Product. It is the way of measuring the size of an economy. GDP can be defined as a total market value of all goods and services produced within a country in a particular period of time.
GDP = Consumption + Gross investment + Government spending + (Exports ¬タモ Imports)
Consumption means spending the money for the purchase of currently produced goods and services.
Gross Investment means saving the money like purchasing as an asset, deposit in bank, or future investment return.
Government spending means transfer of money.
Export means goods transported from one country to another country.
Import means trade in goods and services across the countries.
Or
GDP = C + I + G + (X-M)
Where C includes personal expenditure of household such as food, rent, medical expenses etc.
I is the investment like purchase of software, machinery, equipment etc.
G is Government expenditure of goods and services
X is an export
M is an import
Economic statistic of GDP by country
According to recent statistic by year 2005 the world GDP consists of 180 economics has reached sum of US $ 46,747 billions. Top 15 contributors to the world are USA, Japan, Germany, China, UK, France, Italy, Canada, Spain, Brazil, Russia, Korea, India, Mexico, and Australia.
Share of USA from the total GDP is 28.3, while both the emerging economics such as India and China have share of 1.82 and 5.41
