INTRODUCTION:
LINUX  is a Unix-like computer operating system. Linux is one of the most famous examples of free software and opensource.
Open source means source code can be freely modified, used and redistributed by anyone.
HISTORY OF LINUX:
linux was developed by Linus Torvalds in 1991. Latest linux version is 2.6.24. Linux having two parts.

Kernel—->
Interface between the hardware and other system software. No single company sells Linux. Beacuse it is open source software, anyone can package linux with some programs and distribute it. The difference flavours of linux are called “distributions”.
There are too many Linux distributions for us to include them all, here are some of the most popular Linux distributors os,
