Food:
Food is any substance, usually composed primarily of carbohydrates, fats, water and/or proteins that can be eaten or drunk by an animal for nutrition or pleasure. Items considered food may be sourced from plants, animals or other categories such as fungus or fermented products like alcohol. Although many human cultures sought food items through hunting and gathering, today most cultures use farming, ranching, and fishing, with hunting, foraging and other methods of a local nature included but playing a minor role.
Nutritious and Healthy Food:
Healthy and nutritious food is very important for maintaining a good health. Healthy food involves regular and timely food, juices, nuts, snacks and much more. A balanced diet, good food habits are essential for a healthy life.
In the normal course of life, we forget to take necessary nutrition that is required for our body and hence we tend to get into many life style diseases. It is very essential for a person to know and understand the benefits of nature’s creation like fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc.
Nutrition:
Your Body is just like a Factory .Food is the fuel that keeps it running.
Your food contains:
  • Carbohydrates: They provide the power needed to run the factory.
  • Fats: They are storage bins, storing the energy derived from food.
  • Proteins: They are building blocks used to repair and expand the factory.
  • Vitamins: They are the workers, helping to release energy from fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
  • Minerals: They are the carpenters; they help build bones and teeth.
When the food is completely digested, whatever is not used to create energy or stored is dumped as waste.
What is Nutrition?
Eating is a source of considerable pleasure and an important part of our lives. The food we eat keeps us alive, gives us energy, makes us grow, and repairs our bodies. So what is it in the food that serves the above functions?
Within the delicious food we eat, there are different types of nutrients. Nutrients are classified into five major groups: proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals. Each group plays a special role in our bodies. Fats and carbohydrates provide us with the energy we need for our activities, but also make us gain weight and become fat if taken in excess. Proteins supply us with building blocks for growth and reparations within our bodies. Vitamins and minerals keep us healthy. It is necessary to take enough (but not an excess!) of each group of nutrition each day to keep ourselves healthy.

Healthy Eating:
Eating is a pleasure and so is good health. Yet, when we eat, we do not usually think about how the food will affect our health. Food storage can be a constant challenge for many people, but the techniques can be a good tool to prevent food from spoiling before you have the chance to relish it.
