A Floppy Disk Drive, or FDD is a computer disk drive that enables a user to easily save data to removable diskettes.
At first floppy disk came in the size of 5 ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒ﾿￯ᄒツ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒᄐ ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒ﾿￯ᄒᄁ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒタ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒワ which is now replaced by 3 ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒ﾿￯ᄒツ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒᄑ ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒ﾿￯ᄒᄁ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒタ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒワ.
However because of limited size and reliability floppy disks no longer come with computers.
Compact Disc-Read Only Memory, CD-ROM drives are CD-Players inside computers that can have speeds in the range from 1x and beyond, and have the capability of playing audio CDs and computer data CDs.
CD-R is also known as recordable write once, read many compact disc (CD) format.
CD-R disc is also known as CD-WO (Write once) or WORM (Write Once Read Many) drive.
CD-R is short for CD-Recordable is a type of writable disc that is capable of having information written to the disc once and we can read the information many times from the disc.
If the data is not written to the disc properly, or has the incorrect information the whole disc or portions of that disc cannot be erased.
CD-RW is also known as rewriteable compact disc (CD) format that allows repeated recording on a disc.
Digital Versatile Disc-Recordable DVD-R is similar to the idea behind CD-R, where the drive is capable or recording once to a disc and then read many times after it has been created.
DVD-RW, is a technology that enables a user to read and write to a DVD+RW or DVD+R disc several times.
￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒ﾿￯ᄒツ￯﾿ᆵ￯ᄒᄒ￯ᄒᄋ Jump drive / USB flash drive
Jump drive is also known as a USB flash drive.
A jump drive is a portable memory disk. It is a small device (about the size of your index finger) that connects to a computer’s USB port which is capable of storing 256MB, 512MB, or more.
Jump drives are used by users who need an easy and small way to transfer or store information from their computer.
The LS120, or Super Disk, is a drive which supports a special floppy diskette which can store up to 120MB of information.
It is backward compatible and hence supports the standard 1.44MB floppy diskettes.
A magnetically thin coated piece plastic wrapped around wheels that is capable of storing data.
Tape is much less expensive than other storage mediums but commonly a much slower solution that is commonly used for backup.
An outdated medium-capacity removable disk storage system first introduced by Iomega in 1994.
